The Commissioned Templar Chaplain Program
Developed by the Grand Prelates and elected line of the Grand Encampment
"Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give." — Matt. 10:8
About the Program
In our efforts to improve the fraternity, the Grand Prelates and the elected line have developed a training and commissioning program for Prelates and Chaplains. Long considered officers who simply read a prayer or pray for the sick, Chaplains and Prelates are called to be leading officers in all Masonic bodies — but most especially in Commandery.
Chaplaincy is a ministry of presence. Simply being there for people in real and meaningful ways at the difficult times in their lives is the core of what a Chaplain is called to do. This program is designed to help members dedicated enough to serve the Craft and God become more effective in their positions.

The program consists of 12 self-paced units delivered through the Grand Encampment's official Learning Management System at TemplarEd.org. Each unit includes readings, short videos, quizzes, and practical projects designed to immediately impact the lives of members in your Lodge or Commandery.
